Cliodna - Sea Goddess
A very lusty spirit creature, the legend of Cliodna (KLEE-nah) originates in Ireland.
She took a mortal lover resulting in a giant wave
washing her back into the otherworld. Doomed never
to return to Ireland in human form, she became a Sea
Goddess. She often took the form of a sea bird, symbolizing
the Celtic afterlife. It was believed that she embodied
every ninth wave, the most powerful.
